BUSY JULY!

We've been trying to do anything we can to stay cool! As you can see it ranges from being naked in the waterhose to swimming in the lake on the 4th!

We also managed to celebrate Ellen's birthday on the 3rd.

This past weekend the boys and I went to Memphis to visit El-Den (aka Ellen) we went
to the children's museum on Friday and the zoo Sat. Let me just say the museum is FABULOUS!
if your ever in town I highly recommend! The zoo was great too, but very HOT! We had a GREAT time and were all exhausted!

Like I said the museum had everything a little boy could love, isn't the grocery store hysterical!

Poor Archer this what he looked like on the way home :) Way too much fun!
Their favorite things were the snakes (of course) and the alligators! They are a mess and Ellen and I laughed at them most of the time! P.S. The reason their halfway naked in the picture with ellen is bc they had an awesome water feature at the bear exhibit, they got a little wet, it def helped keep cool! (and we saved it for last)

We have a FISH on our hands!

Well on Saturday Ben decided once again that he'd become a fish.  Just like last summer he just all the sudden decided he was ready go for it (again!).  I had told everyone, "just wait when Ellen gets here I bet he goes for it".  Not even ten minutes with her in the pool on Sat. he jumping off the diving board! (seriously, we've been begging him for like two weeks!)  Anyway he swam for a solid two hours, we had to make him take breaks, I'm so proud of him I knew he could do it again!   We aslo celebrated Father's Day yesterday, The boys and I are sooo... lucky to have such wonderful men in our lives.  It was weird though because this was the first time we had all gotten together to celebrate something since Bull has died.  It made me realize how grateful I am to have had him in my life for so long!   Well here's to my little fish! Not sure where Archer was, he usually just runs around spraying everyone with the water hose! :)

WHY DO I LOVE DIRT CHEAP?!!

This is why!  I just got back from taking Ben to pick out his "Yay you went under and swam present" from dirt cheap and this is what he picked! Who wouldn't want a buzz lightyear talking wingpack! just featured on Regis and Kelly (I think).  What did I pay a whole $6 bucks YaY!, Happy Wednesday!

MORE SWEET CORN PLEASE!!

In our house this is one of our most favorite times of the year!  Sweet Corn! Theres nothing like it, the boys absolutely love this stuff, as you can see the other night they fully enjoyed themselves.  Ben has been enduring swimming lessons this week, and I mean enduring because he really doesn't like them, but he goes!  The crazy thing is he can swim, he just needs a little push! but each day he gets better and better!  We've also discovered Archer loves the pool too! So I guess lots of swimming is in our future this summer.  These two are growing so big so fast, and yes I do realize in these pictures how much Archer looks just like his daddy!

Gulf Shores and "Big Thomas"

This past week has been one of the craziest of my life.  Last Tuesday my family lost our grandfather Bull, he had been ill for so long and we were so blessed that God finally brought him Home!  So before he passed away Will and I had planned to take the boys to see Thomas the Train in Fairhope and then stay a couple extra days.  We intented to leave Wed. but after Bull's passing we pushed our trip to Sat.  Not knowing what was coming for Yazoo City we pulled out of our driveway at 11 a.m. and by 12:30 were in shock to hear what had happened.  The Lord spared out home and our family and we are ever so grateful!  The tornado literally struck a neighborhood 2 away from ours!  Needless to say we decided to go on with our trip and so glad we did! The boys had a blast, although Will is threatening to buy a big RV for our next road trip so the wild indians can run loose! They HATE the car!!

THOMAS!!

Archer thought Sir Topham was sooo cool!

The event was so neat they had everything a little boy LOVES!
Blowing his new Thomas whistle!
